Internship Program

ARPF has an active internship program, with openings year-round. Interns help support the mission of the American River Parkway Foundation by supporting staff across a variety of programs.

ARPF is currently recruiting for Winter/Spring 2017 internships.

These are unpaid positions (high school or college credit available) that provide hands-on experience in the environmental science field.

2017 Intern Projects include:

    • Invasive Plant Management
    • Habitat Restoration
    • GIS Mapping

To apply for an internship, please send a completed application and updated resume to:

  • Background/interest in environmental science or natural resources
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
  • Work with volunteers, Sacramento county parks staff, and all others in a professional manner while representing ARPF.
