 The
2010 Down River Day conducted Saturday, August 7th was the 26th
year we have conducted the event.
Each year corporations and individuals enjoy
a raft ride from American River Raft Rental, at Sunrise down to River Bend Park,
formerly Goethe. After the raft ride, participants enjoy a wonderful
catered meal and live entertainment.
Proceeds from the event will assist the Foundations’
stewardship programs. These programs include:

Adopt the Parkway, a year-round group
volunteer cleanup program. |

Invasive Plant Management Program, an
intensive volunteer effort to rid the Parkway of invasive weeds. |
|
|
Great American River Clean-Up in
September of each year. |
