Become a Volunteer

Volunteers are fundamental to the success of the American River Parkway Foundation and to ensuring the Parkway is here for generations to come.

With great consideration, the Foundation is putting all our volunteer activities on hold due to Sacramento County’s Public Health Order of May 26 requirements.  We are coordinating with State and County health officials and will resume volunteer activities when guidelines have been established to keep our volunteers healthy.

Thank you for all you’ve done and we look forward to your critical support in the future

How Your Time Helps the American River Parkway
The American River Parkway is much more than 4,800 acres; it is a public health asset, a wildlife corridor, an outdoor classroom, and a space for community. The American River Parkway Foundation deploys more than 5,000 volunteers each year to remove trash and invasive plants, clear trails, and repair park infrastructure, ensuring the Parkway is accessible, environmentally healthy and enjoyment for all.
