The Great American River Clean-Up is scheduled for Saturday, September 19th. The event will run from 9 am to 12 pm at 13 locations along the American River Parkway.

The American River Parkway Foundation has been coordinating this clean up with the California Coastal Commission since 1993. It is the largest inland water cleanup reporting to the Coastal Commission.

GARCU is a great opportunity for families, youth in need of community service hours, and corporations to participate. The event takes place on land and on water the event will take place at 13 locations along the 23-mile Parkway. Some sites will feature painting projects, laying of mulch, and others will remove trash and debris.
