Parkway CONNECT

Through Parkway CONNECT, we aim to remove barriers that prevent many families and individuals from experiencing all the Parkway has to offer. The program provides enriching recreational opportunities that invite everyone to explore the Parkway—regardless of their background or experience. By addressing common barriers like lack of awareness, transportation challenges, or not knowing where to start, and by tailoring activities to meet the needs of diverse groups, Parkway CONNECT helps foster a stronger connection between our community and this regional gem.

Parkway CONNECT expands access to the Parkway by partnering with trusted nonprofit organizations that already serve and support diverse communities. These partnerships help us reach participants in a thoughtful, trusted way while creating a sense of belonging and connection.

We collaborate with experienced activity providers to lead programs like fishing, archery, hiking, biking, arts and crafts, and more. To keep these experiences free for participating nonprofits and their communities, we rely on grant funding and donations to cover the costs. By bringing together community organizations and skilled instructors, Parkway CONNECT offers welcoming, no-cost opportunities for more people to discover and enjoy the Parkway.
