Whenever you support the Parkway Foundation, you support direct conservation of the American River Parkway. This includes clean-ups, invasive plant removal, fire mitigation, Parkway education, trail maintenance and more.
Whether it’s a donation, bequeathment in a will, a sponsorship, a membership, or purchase from our shop, every little bit helps. There are multiple ways to contribute and most – if not all – of your contribution will be tax deductible. You can also direct your contribution toward a specific program.

The American River Parkway Foundation’s Parkway Partners program is aimed at connecting local businesses with the 8 million visits that occur on the American River Parkway each year. An investment in the Parkway is an investment in our economy and community.
In 1993, the Parkway Foundation founded the “Adopt-the-Parkway” initiative to engage volunteers mile by mile. Volunteer stewards adopt each of the 23 miles of Parkway along both banks of the river. There are 46 Mile Stewards on the American River Parkway.
