Parks & Features of the Parkway

The American River Parkway has over a dozen access points. These access points feature areas to fish, swim, kayak, or run, as well as paint, relax, or watch a sunset. The American River Bike Trail runs the length of the Parkway and beyond while a separate dirt equestrian/running/hiking trail meanders near the bike trail from Discovery Park to Nimbus Fish Hatchery and into the Folsom Lake SRA. Various parks on the Parkway and different amenities are listed below.

Park Passes

Buy Online
To purchase a Park Pass online, select one of the passes below. Please allow 3-5 business days for shipping and handling. You will not be able to use your pass until it arrives in the mail.

–        $50 Standard Vehicle (Allows one vehicle, less than 22 feet in length, to enter any Sacramento County Park)

–        $30 Non-Motorized Vessel (Kayak, canoe, etc. pay the $30 fee for each vessel)

–        $75 Horse Trailer + Vehicle (Allows one vehicle, less than 22 feet in length, with or without a horse trailer to enter any Sacramento County Park)

–        $100 Boat Trailer/other trailer + Vehicle (Allows one vehicle with a boat trailer or other trailer to enter any Sacramento County Park)
