The American River Parkway Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of the application period for the second round of funding for the Teichert-Parkway Fund.
A. Teichert & Son (TEICHERT), headquartered along the north levee of the American River, elected to provide sustained funding for a Grants Program to enhance the American River Parkway habitat and user experience. In partnership with Sacramento County Regional Parks, and administered by the American River Parkway Foundation, grant funding occurs annually.
The funding available through generous donations from Teichert through their gravel mining operations is being made available through a competitive grant process. Details are below.
All proposals for grants under $100,000 that fall within the requirements provided will be considered.
Application Process. Those interested in submitting a grant proposal should first submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) form. The LOI should include the following information:
- Name, Organization and contact information.
- Purpose and need for funding.
- Amount of funds requested.
- Evaluation of the proposed project.
- Duration of the proposed project.
- Outline budget.
The LOI should not be longer than two typed pages, with an additional page for the budget.
Before submitting your LOI, please read the American River Parkway Foundation Grant Application Guidelines to determine if funding requirements can be met.
Timeline. The 2022 grant application period begins April 5th, and LOIs are due no later than June 15th. After review, those projects selected will be invited to complete a full grant application, which must be submitted no later July 30th to be eligible for consideration.
Funding will be distributed to successful applicants during November 2022.
