Along the 23-mile stretch of the American River Parkway, there are hundreds of tables, shade structures, posts, kiosks, trail signs and benches. This infrastructure is essential to providing Parkway users with with places for rest, shade and picnics as well as directions for navigating the Parkway.
Each year, the Parkway Foundation works with volunteers to build, maintain and repair this infrastructure.
For groups with construction experience, the Parkway Foundation is reviewing tackling larger projects like rebuilding dilapidated shade structures, informational kiosks and walk bridge railings.
