Dress up your dog and join the American River Parkway Foundation for a walk on the Parkway! Enjoy a 2-mile stroll along Parkway trails followed by an Earth Day celebration complete with a costume contest, a food truck, vendors, pet adoptions, and more.

Proceeds benefit the Parkway Foundation’s Pups in the Park and Trail Maintenance programs.

Pups in the Park provides “Mutt Mitt” dog waste removal bags at 14 stations along the American River Parkway, which ensures bacteria and toxins from pet waste do not pollute our waterways. In 2016, the Parkway Foundation purchased 60,000 “Mutt Mitts” to be placed along the Parkway!

The Trail Maintenance Program ensures the hiking/equestrian trail from Discovery Park to Hazel Ave is clear and accessible to all visitors and their furry friends.
